Active Polish Americans with diabetes modeling offer

CASTING - We are seeking the following for a print-ad campaign running in several foreign countries:

- Men & Women working with active lifestyles OR working in high-risk professions (i.e., construction, fire depts, police, emergency rescue, aviation, etc.)
- Who have Diabetes
- Who are 30+ years old (give or take)

These print ads are for the New Horizon "Danger Zone" campaign -- celebrating people with active lifestyles or in high-risk professions who stay 'safe' with their health by monitoring their diabetes. The message is: "I might work or play in the Danger Zone, but I stay in the SAFE ZONE with my health".
It is important to us to have only candidates who truly have diabetes and who have the following ethnic backgrounds:
• Chinese • Korean • central Eastern European (Polish, etc.) • Indian • Middle Eastern/North African • Southeast Asian (incl. Philippino, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.)
(There has been a rise in the diabetes rate in these regions.)

Audition/Interview is not paid but takes only 5 minutes. However, talent that is used for the job will receive a generous modeling fee and buyout of $1000 - $1500. Time is of the essence, as we need to find our models and photograph them by the end of March.

Please contact Sarah at: castingsf@excite.com

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance,

The staff of International Talent Casting

Please help Adam from Fairfield to learn Polish

Does the East Bay Polish school offer lessons for adults? Maybe some of subscribers can spend some time on conversation in Polish? Please send any suggestions about near by opportunities to: poloniasfo@yahoo.com

In a message dated 2/12/2004 6:52:33 PM Pacific Standard Time, [www.poloniasf.org user] writes:

I am very interested in finding a Polish tutor, if anyone in your organization offers such services. I live in Fairfield, and am willing to drive quite a distance for lessons. Please let me know if you know of anyone who is giving lessons.

Thank you,

Adam [www.poloniasf.org subscriber]

A sour note about behavior in Polish American community

Recently I got reliable information that someone is sending emails pretending they are being sent from my email address. It happened in March 2004. Similar incidents occurred in October and November 2003. This is being done by a member of Polish American community, because this person knows my email address, which is basically widely known in Polonia, and he/she knows email addresses of other people in the community, which are not. I am not sure if next detail is important, but the fraudulent emails did not occur in the period from December 15, 2003, until February 28, 2004. If you know anything which could stop this childish behavior, please act yourself as you see fit, to help the Polish community. There should be no place for such behavior. This kind of detraction slows down the updates on www.poloniasf.org web site, but I do not want to spend time to look for this childish offender. Please be aware that because you get email from george_bush@hotmail.com does not mean you got email from the President. Also, I am told that anyone can send email from any computer where the sender will appear as poloniasfo@yahoo.com or edmund77@aol.com. It is some kind of trick. Please be vigilant.
