2 - 4 PM, KUSF 90.3, "Poland goes ethnic"
Two hour program with contemporary interpretation of Polish Folk music
by some of the most talented and original artist. In the last few years
young Poles like other Europeans have rediscovered their own ethnic
roots in music. Some have been hugely successful playing to sold out
audiences (Kayah, Zakopower) , while others took a less popular path
combining tradition with modern rhythms such as rock and ambient
(Warsaw Village Band, Village Kolektiv, Indialucia, Masala). The results
sound very promising and original. All presented albums will have their
