Polonia Media Network about Edmund Lewandowski of San Francisco
San Francisco, Calif. (PMN)--Via an open letter published on the Internet, Edmund
Lewandowski expressed special gratitude to Elzbieta Rudzinska for her support for investigating past
communist and secret intelligence agency (SB) activities among members of the Polish community. He said
that it was particularly necessary to investigate those whose names are included on the list of
the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), commonly known as the "Wildstein List."
Lewandowski is active in many segments of the Polish community in San Francisco,
including having been a former President of the Northern California Division of the Polish American Congress
(PAC). Rudzinska is a Commissioner of the Polish National Alliance (PNA).
The Wildstein List contains names of person who were allegedly agents of the Polish
Secret Police under the now deposed communist regime
Lewandowski has been among the most vocal demanding an investigation of Polish
immigrants to California, now leaders of the Polish American community in that state, who have names the same
as or similar to names on the Wildstein List.
An analysis of the Wildstein list made Rudzinska question Lewandowski himself. She
found that the name of a Slawomir Lewandowski appears on the List. Lewandowski's full name is Edmund
Slawomir Lewandowski.
Soon after Lewandowski learned of the investigation being made by Rudzinska, he
petitioned the IPN for certification [...] Lewandowski says that the procedure took less than three weeks and
that he has already received certification that he has "nothing to do with the Slawomir Lewandowski
listed among the individuals who allegedly worked for the communist-era Polish intelligence service."
